概要
フランソワ・トリュフォーの長編第一作。アントワーヌ・ドワネルはパリの下町に住む13歳の少年。学校ではいつもいたずらばかりして先生に目をつけられている。共稼ぎの両親は、夫婦仲が余りよくなく何かと口論ばかりしていた。そんなある日、遊ぶ金に困った彼は父の会社のタイプライターを盗んで質に入れようとしたが、すぐにバレてしまい、両親は彼を少年鑑別所に入れてしまう……。
