概要
問題ばかり起こして里親のもとを転々としていた孤児の少年リッキーは、ニュージーランドの田舎で暮らすヘクターとベラ夫妻のもとへ預けられる。優しいベラに少しずつ心を開いていくリッキーだったが、ある悲劇が起きたことから、ヘクターとともに指名手配の対象になってしまう。
