概要
1943年、第二次世界大戦真只中のアメリカ。プロ野球選手たちも次々と戦場へ駆り出され、大リーグの運営は危機を迎えていた。オレゴンの片田舎に住むソフトボール・リーグ選手、ドティ・ヒンソンとキット・ケラーの姉妹のところへ、ある日プロ野球のスカウトマンが訪ねてきて、近く発足する全米女子プロ野球リーグに参加しないかと誘う。
